1. Accounting Manual

The accounting manual discusses the policies, rules and regulations that govern the financial allocations, management of funds, investments, utilisation and expenditure, statutory obligations, accounting concepts and formats of documents.

The activities under various statutes, which have already been completed and have no relevance in future, have not been deliberated in details. The labour laws, although applicable to the Society but have not much relevance in the accounting function have also not been deliberated in this manual.

2. HRD Manual

Human resource is the main strength of our organisation. It is key determinant of the quality of our work processes, results and positioning in development sector. It is highly imperative that organization builds and nurtures dynamic learning environment and systems to facilitate involvement of all categories of staff members in work and organisational development process with a true sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability. Keeping this in view, we have transparent systems to recruit, retain and build the team at all levels including project office as well as head office to facilitate quality implementation of programmes as reflected in Aparajita HRD manual. It enlightens the policies.

3. Gender Policy

The document is structured in a way to provide a conceptual framework for looking at gender issues within a development organisation and programming context. Second, a brief literature survey available at hand on gender issues has been highlighted. Third, the development environment, within Uttar Pradesh, with special reference to the gender context, is discussed. Fourth, a gender situational analysis survey for key participants in Aparajita programme was conducted in the project area with selected target group women. Finally, elements of the gender policy that will guide Aparajita’s work in the future is laid out in terms of principles, organisation norms and structure, programme due diligence procedures, gender impact monitoring system and impact evaluation indicators.

4. Child Protection Policy

Aparajita’s Child Protection Policy (CPP) has been drafted and ready for approval from General Body. Initially, a provision of 3-member Child Protection Committee (CPC) has been made under CPP. On getting approval from GB, the policy will formally come in force for the entire Aparajita system.
